Cancellations & No Show

It is very important that each student (parent) understands the cancellation policy.  All professional music teachers must enforce their lesson policies in order to earn a living.  You will be provided a written copy of our policy statements at your first lesson.  The student or parent (where applicable) will read and sign the policy indicating that he or she understands the cancellation policy. Lesson slots are assigned to new students on a first come first serve basis. Your lesson time is a slot reserved for you and only you.  Please insure when scheduling a lesson that the time and day works with your schedule.

If you do not show up for a lesson, you will still be charged for the time, as you are removing your instructors ability to schedule another lesson in that time slot.  Even if advanced notice is given there is no guarantee the time slot can be filled.  If this becomes a chronic occurrence, your time slot will be given to another student.  If the student is late for their lesson, the lesson will begin at the time the student arrives.

If no other students are scheduled in the subsequent time-slot; the lesson will be completed to the usual

hour or half hour.  However, if it is not possible to complete a full lesson, the student will still be charged the usual full fee amount of their lesson.

If for some reason you or your instructor cancels your lesson detailed lesson materials will be provided via email in the form of audio, video, or PDF.  Every effort will be made to create and supply these lessons in a timely manner.  Instructors are allowed to but not required to reschedule the lesson.   If a lesson cannot be rescheduled the lesson slot will still be charged the full amount.

Lesson Tuition

Lesson tuition is a monthly fee to be paid in full the last week of each month.  For example, February tuition would be due during the last lesson in January. This payment reserves the student’s time each month.  If you choose to terminate your lessons for any reason please give a minimum of one weeks notice.  To avoid overcharges of tuition please ensure your notice coincides with the withdraw schedule or monthly pay schedule as no refunds will be given for cancellations in the middle of a pay schedule.
